About School: Wood Tobe-Coburn offers career-focused  programs in many of the fastest growing occupations.  Some of our programs include an externship, where students get to learn from a real-world experience.  In just 10-16 months, you can finish a diploma or degree that puts you first in line for a great career.
 
Wood Tobe-Coburn’s programs are designed to prepare graduates for employment in the areas of business, service, allied health, and design industries. The school's programs are between one and two academic years in length, and contain structured components of skills training and general education. Wood Tobe-Coburn's goal is to enable graduates to obtain responsible employment, to develop and progress in their careers, and to be productive and valued members of their communities.

 Faculty:  At Wood Tobe-Coburn, the majority of our classes are taught by faculty members teaching full time.   Having such a high proportion of full-time teachers is unusual and it reflects our mission to provide a high quality education. We want faculty members who are committed to Wood Tobe-Coburn and our students. We expect our faculty to make their students the priority.  Our faculty members take pride in encouraging and challenging our students and make it a point to be available for help and direction.

 Facilities: Our classrooms and facilities are designed around student learning.  Hands-on instruction and industry-standard technology are featured.  Our classrooms, health care labs, resource center, computer labs, student services area, and lounge space are all located in a single building.

Location: We are located in exciting Midtown Manhattan at 8 East 40th Street, just east of Fifth Avenue by the fashion district.  We are near all major subway lines, Grand Central, the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Penn Station.

Admissions: Applications are accepted year-round and acceptance decisions are made on a timely basis. Some of our programs begin multiple times in a year, so it’s never too late to apply! You must be a high school graduate or have obtained your GED in order to attend Wood-Tobe Coburn, but you won’t need to take the SAT or the ACT!
