The Culinary Institute of the Pacific (CIP) is a network of two distinctive culinary schooling centers within the University of Hawaii method, located on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, & Kauai. The Mission of the CIP is to offer to Hawaii & the global community career, technical, cultural, & culinary schooling & training. The premier CIP middle on Oahu is located at the Katie»loan Community College, nestled on the slopes of Diamond Head overlooking the Pacific Ocean & Waikiki. Accredited by the American Culinary Federation (ACF), the Katie»loan campus offers a world-class learning surroundings that includes 10 instructional kitchens, a 130 chair demonstration auditorium, as well as on campus restaurants & banquet rooms. The CIP's culinary schooling program excels in blending the techniques, traditions, & influences of Asia & the Pacific with the classical styles of Europe & American regional cuisine. The Institute's faculty consists of award winning cooks, & food & beverage specialists, lots of who are graduates of the Culinary Institute of The United States, Le Cordon Bleu, Johnson & Wales, & the Kapi'olani Community College.
 
Cooking Classes
 
Fascinating, hands-on, cooking classes are offered every Saturday with morning & afternoon sessions, & on occasional weekday evenings. Faculty consists of friendly, experienced cooks with a variety of regional & international culinary experience, who enjoy sharing their crafts with food fanatics. They offer classes on local home style cooking, international cuisine (Mexican, Moroccan, Chinese, Italian a¦), & culinary skills classes (knife skills, writing a cook book a). There is no better way to explore the world of food than spending a few hours in a specially designed instructional kitchen observing cooking demonstrations, then try your hands at using the new techniques, along with your instructor & culinary assistants close by to guide you along & answer questions.
