The staff is available to all members of the student body for discussions about
employment opportunities, continuing education and to help resolve personal
problems related to education. Our staff consists of licensed professionals who
deal with the material form of the programs that exist in the real world of food
service. Our performance-based training emphasizes the skills needed in the real
world of work. You learn from professionals with years of experience. You train
in facilities and equipment similar to that found in the job. And they are
classified according to how well you can actually do what you have learned. The
Culinary Academy of Long Island accepts inquiries from New York and Long Island
areas only.
Star Career Academy (SCA) was founded in 1979 as a technical training school
star Institute offered by the group in the development and design. Schools in
1983 diversified its training programs introducing business, computers and
allied health programs. With the dramatic expansion of the industry of health
care, it was decided to specialize in training and allied health programs have
been developed, including medical billing, medical, surgical technology, ECG,
dialysis technician and technology multi-skill health. The Philadelphia campus
added a paramedic program approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
In August 2008, four stars Technical Institute campus (Egg Harbor Township,
Philadelphia, Lakewood and Newark) became branches of two vocational schools
based in New York: Long Island Culinary Academy and Career Academy of New York.
This brought the schools under the umbrella of the property of members of the
court, an investment firm specializing in educational products and schools.
Career training at Star Academy is "based on performance," through simulated
environments force led by industry professionals. Graduates are equipped with
practical skills needed to meet the intense demands of the cosmetology,
hospitality, culinary, and their allies the workplace health of
New York, New
Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. In addition, students learn teamwork,
professional standards and ethical practices.
Classroom and laboratory training is covered by an externship in most programs.
Students are in place in the doctor's office, clinic, hospital, hospitality or
culinary arts location and experience in 'real time' employment needs. At the
conclusion of the externship, a student is the preparation work and Training
Advisory Service Star Academy to assist students in scheduling interviews at the
facilities of the area.
The environment in schools Carrera Star Academy is professional, yet warm and
friendly. Instructors and students work together in an environment similar to
real workplaces. Teamwork and human relations skills are developed and students
learn the professional and ethical standards required for employment in the
field. Instructors and counselors are available to help students with personal
and educational problems, strive for each student to fulfill their career goals
and life.
