The Columbus Culinary Institute at Bradford School offers a 20-month associate degree in culinary arts. Our goal is to provide a solid culinary arts education to ensure graduates are ready to work in the fast-paced culinary industry. An in-person tour is also recommended so you can see the culinary school and our facilities for yourself.
The Columbus Culinary Institute has several student organizations for life out of the kitchen. Our carving club competed in a national tournament and one of our student’s took 1st place!
Financial Aid: Bradford School is committed to providing a variety of options to make your education affordable. As a Bradford student, you’ll have access to a variety of financial aid programs for those who qualify, including:

Placement Department: Students are able to use the services of the career placement department. Their goal is to help graduates secure employment in their chosen career field. For the most recent reporting period, 100% of culinary students available for placement found jobs.
Housing: Our residence facilities are located on our campus, with quick access to a variety of entertainment and recreational activities. Features include secure building access, all utilities included, and are completely furnished apartments.
Accreditation: Bradford School is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award diplomas and associate's degrees. Bradford School is provisionally authorized by the Ohio Board of for the associate of applied science degree program in culinary arts. Bradford School is approved by the State of Ohio Board of Career Colleges and Schools (registration no 86-06-1025B).
At the Columbus Culinary Institute, you’ll learn the culinary skills you need to start your culinary career. You’ll spend your time in one of five professionally-equipped kitchens with professional chef instructors who really know the ins and outs of cooking. When you graduate and start working in the high-energy culinary world, you’ll feel right at home with the equipment that professionals use every day.
Our 5 teaching kitchens contain:
· Commercial ranges and ovens
· Professional mixers, blenders, fryers and steamers
· Brand name Refrigerators
· Cookware and utensils, from roasting pans to stock pots
Even chefs don’t spend all of their time in the kitchen, which is why the Columbus Culinary Institute is also equipped to expose students to the management side of cooking. With a completely functional storeroom and purchasing area with several large walk-in coolers, you will:
· place orders with food vendors
· evaluate the quality of ingredients as they are received
· understand storeroom procedures
· learn cost control measures
· maintain sanitation standards in the kitchen
And, because no one can run a restaurant alone, you’ll learn important employee management skills, dining room service and management and safety procedures.
