1 package (16 ounces) hot roll mix (yeast included)
2 tablespoons softened butter (1/4 stick)
1 large clove garlic, minced
1-1/2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
1 cup water

Garlic Butter:
3 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced

Combine hot roll mix, yeast packet (from hot roll package), butter, garlic and Italian seasoning in medium bowl. Heat water until very hot to touch (120 to 130 degrees). Add to yeast mixture. Stir until dough pulls away from sides of bowl. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface. Shape dough into a ball. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth adding additional flour if necessary to keep from sticking. Cover dough with bowl and allow 5 minutes to rise. Divide dough in half. Divide each half into 8 parts. Roll each piece into a rope 8 to 9 inches long. Place about 1-1/2 inches apart on parchment-lined baking sheets. Cover and let rise in a warm place until almost doubled, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Combine garlic butter ingredients while baking. Remove breadsticks from oven. Brush with garlic herb butter before serving. Makes 24 breadsticks.

Variations: Dillweed can be substituted for Italian seasoning. 1/4 cup chopped kalamata olives can be added to dough if desired.
